You enter a large space. Apart from a faint light in the distance, all is dark. After your eyes have adjusted to the dark, you distinguish the outlines of a room. The room appears to be taken out of a house and put into an infinite black universe. The room is deserted. You see a bed, some toys and drawings. Grey birds hang from the ceiling. You realize all color is absent as if the whole image dates from a long gone past. Each time you try to reach this image, it seems as if the distance between you and the room grows larger. In reality, the light in the room gradually dims on the rhythm of your paces. And then, you find yourself in the dark, unable to reach the dreamy image of something that could as well have been fiction. |
